Basically about two years ago my husband got peptic ulcers, doctors gave him meds, took like a good month before he was better. About 4 months ago my husband started getting them again, the clinic that will see him for primary physician is so packed he wasn’t gonna be able to be seen till Wednesday, mind you I had to schedule that 4 months ago when he got sick so yeah their full and since he hadn’t been seen their in awhile they considered it a new patient appointment so they refuse to see him for a walk-in. When he was seen at an ER the meds given were working great but my husband was hit with this unending fatigue, severe fatigue, It started with him barely being able to walk the stairs, now it’s whenever he stands his heart is pounding out of his chest and he’s weak and fatigue. At first we thought maybe it was bleeding ulcers as the symptoms were similar. We’ve been to the emergency room 3 times an a urgent care facility, all his blood results show up fine, no bleeding, no obvious infections.

So they we got a referral for a GI doctor, guess what won’t see us till march, we were like it’s okay his appointment at the clinic is coming up. We found out h.pylori is a bacteria infection common to cause ulcers and it can cause heart arrhythmias and fatigue. They never asked to even check him for those things at the er or urgent care. Simple antibiotics can cure it apparently.

This morning I get a call that the clinic has to reschedule his appointment till April. He is gonna be devastated and I just have no idea what to do. We’re broke, neither of us can work because he’s too ill to even move around to eat or make himself something, we live in a two floor apartment so he can’t make the stairs down to the kitchen and if he stays down can’t make the stairs up to the bathroom.

We have two toddlers as well who he wouldn’t be able to keep up with and feed if I work. I’m just at a loss. All I can do is take him to an urgent care again and demand they test him for h.pylori so he can get antibiotics if that’s what it is he needs.

He’s already been severely depressed about not being able to help with the kids or do things around the apartment for me, he sleeps terrible because of it, he’s just falling apart and I have no idea what else to do, we’re both just exhausted at this point and no one’s seems to want to help us, doctors have been useless thus far and we’re at our wits end at this point, any advice is appreciated, especially if you’ve been through something similar.
