Menstrual cup vs Organic tampons

Question

I'm wondering if I should try the reusable menstrual cup thing and would like to know what other women have experienced using it??? Is it practical? Not to be crass but is there any leakage or is it seamless? 
What I've observed from my usage of Tampons is that I tend to bleed less and like dry out if I use them too long or change them too often and if I switch to pads only I start bleeding more regularly again. I'm not sure why that is. But now I'm also questioning whether Tampons are healthy... even the organic kind. 
So if any of you have used or are using a menstrual cup I would love to know how that was or is...

Personally I love the cup. It took some getting use to at first with putting it in properly but now it’s perfect and never leaks.

Organic tampons over menstrual cup and organic pads HANDS DOWN. The menstrual cup, I’ve had many over the years and I’ve never worn one more than 3x. I would always get the smallest one but removal either hurt if you don’t fold it properly or can be messy and ehh I never was comfortable just hanging around with it inside me, even placed properly it always felt like there was even a little pressure up there, just uncomfortable for me to handle for more than 2 hours or so. Got my last menstrual cup about a year ago because I was so tired of tampons/pads… haha after tons of research I found the softest, smallest, most comfy and I tried it once and never again. Organic tampons all the way in my opinion, makes life easier

I switched from organic tampons to the flex cup well over a year ago now. I mostly use the small one, but have one day in my cycle where I use the large one. It did take a little bit to get used to, but it was well, WELL, worth it. For my first couple periods I also used a panty liner as I was really nervous about leakage. That helped ease my fears and also see when I was making an insertion error. Every woman's vagina and cervix are unique, and since your cervix moves it can take some learning your body for the cup to work properly. Follow the recommended directions for insertion (back and towards your tail bone - I chant this when I put mine in 🤣)
Biggest benefits:
-expense (once you make the initial purchase that should last a good 5 or more years)
-no tampon waste (for me anytime I had to pee I had to change the tampon even if it wasn't very 'full' yet)
-better for the environment, less waste
-no risk of toxic shock
-easy way to actually measure the heaviness of your cycle
-opportunity to become even more in tune with your body and cycle
Bottom line - I love it and am so glad I made the switch!

I love my Diva cup! I’ve only had minor leakage when I kept it in during very long days away from home- like 14 hours hiking for example. And that’s been like twice in 10 years! I didn’t have any issues with sizing, and I’ve never given birth.
