5w4d Spotting and low rising hcg

Hello ladies, I have been spotting on and off (more so on) for over a week now with varying colors and amounts. My first 2 hcg tests came back normal and “on track” but my last two were not. My levels have been higher, but they have not been doubling as often as they should. Has anyone else experienced this? What was your outcome? Went to the ER for the bleeding and side pain on Sunday, they said they don’t think baby is ectopic and my cervix is closed, but they told me it’s very likely I’m catching a miscarriage in its early tracks. I’m trying not to lose hope 🤞🏾😢 my levels were 234.5 on Sunday night, and 294.5 this morning. Less than 48 hours technically so I am trying to keep that in mind.
