Should I bother talking to this girl?

My BD has been dating this girl since I gave birth 8 months ago. I never liked her because of her involvement in our breakup. He says she wasn’t involved but I know we would’ve gotten back together if she hadn’t inserted herself in the picture but whatever. That’s not important anymore. My baby is young and with Covid in the mix, I’m not comfortable with her being at someone else’s house so I’ve been telling him he can’t pick her up. If he wants to see her, my door is always open to him (not her).  So now he’s asking if we can have a sit down to clear the air so he can pick up the baby and have over night visits at their house (yeah they live together now).  I don’t see how having a talk is going to help with anything. Is she going to apologize for what she did to me? …..putting me in the position of being a single mother?

You’re using COVID as an excuse to not have him pick up his baby. Which he’s allowed to do. If y’all were back together and lived separately that baby would be over there in a heartbeat with you.

I know you probably hate her, as many do if they think the girl caused the issue but in reality it wasn’t her. He was the one that was with you, not her. So trying to put all your anger into her after you’ve clearly forgiven your ex is just a waste. You gotta be better than that. He is obviously not gonna change his ways and be with you again or end things with her just because you don’t like her. So for the sake of your baby just try & make things work. You don’t have to be best friends with the girl but just give them a chance to be better with coparenting.  Eventually you’ll meet someone new and would you want your BD being that way towards him even if he didn’t cause y’all to end? Just think things through before putting all your energy into so much hate. You deserve to be happy, and so does your baby. Your baby needs it’s mama & daddy, remember that.

Wait she didnt do anything to you. He was a single person when he got with her. Its your ex man who chose to move on while you are pregnant. I totally get how you feel about her, i think most people would because its easier to blame the other person than someone you have been with and even made a baby with. But you cannot keep the baby from him because of that. As much as it hurts he is the dead and has the right to spend time with his child at his home. He doesnt have to come hang out at your place to see the baby. Even if he actually cheated on you with this person, he still has the right to his child.

Him moving on isn’t the other woman’s fault… it’s his deal. If the house is safe and the people are safe around your child, there really shouldn’t be any issues. I can see why you feel the way you do though.

If he takes you to court, which if you don’t hear him out, it will be worse. Is play nice. Focus on your child and her only not the drama, discuss with him then get a court agreement
