Thoughts on the same Sorella?

I asked on a poll the other day and most people didn’t like it. But I’m curious why?
It would be pronounced Sor-rel-la. It means sister so I was going to use it as a middle name as that’s what we nicknamed our baby and I like that it could be shortened to Ella.

Here in Australia there’s a place called Sorelle, so to Sorella isn’t bad. It sounds sweet and meaning sister seems adorable ☺️

I’m so surprised by these comments 😂 Dang they’re brutal haha! First of all, it’s your future baby’s middle name so less pressure and second, it’s an actual Italian name so it’s not like you made it up! It’s used outside of English speaking countries so not really a big deal to me.
If you like it, go for it! At the end of the day, this is just an app. Go with your gut.

I voted no because it looks/sounds similar to “sore Ella” like a person named Ella who is sore. That made it unappealing to me, personally.
If you go to a name site with a decent search engine (with an “ends with” search option), there’s a lot of other names that end in ella, if you are still exploring.

I mean I like it, if you or your SO have any Italian heritage it makes sense as it is Italian. I literally have "Amo Le Mie Sorelle" tattooed on my arm meaning  I love my sisters so I see no problem with it.

Wow, people are so rude! Honestly I suggest not even asking for opinions or doing polls on this app when it comes to names. Occasionally you get a helpful reply but overall it’s constant negativity on here. Everyone has opinions but you are the one who will call your baby by this name so if you like it, go for it.
