Heavy pp period?

I’m 6 weeks pp and I just got my first pp period. It is so heavy.. anyone else have it be super heavy for the first period? I have to wear overnight pads all day and still change them every 2-3 hours because they’re full.

Mine was awful too, I had it at 8 weeks. Overnight pads in the day too. Thankfully it only lasted 5 days as some people say it can be up to 12 days. My periods prior to baby was only 2/3 days and VERY light so just lucky I guess. My periods not will probably be awful 😅

With my husband and I's first I had an absolutely horrendous first period!.
It was normal by the second period.
Still waiting for my period since my husband and I had our second on October 28th.

This is the same exact thing happening to me right now! I’m 7 weeks postpartum and started mine last night. It’s so bad that I had some adult diapers from postpartum left over that I put on! I had heavy periods in the past, but this period has been one of the worst I’ve ever had. Not to even mention the cramping! 🙃🥴

Same boat here. Mine was so heavy I actually had my doctor check to make sure everything was okay at my postpartum check up. She said it was fine and that they might be that way for up to the first 5 periods. I hope not, but we will see.
