We have 2 kids and my husband has never stayed home whe the kids get sick or I have been sick. It's always been fine and we just cope. This week my son had 103 fever and cough I also broke out in a fever and cough and our baby started coughing. By day 3 it had been so bad on sleep I was in tears sick and rocking babies around the clock. My husband decided on his own to call in sick I didn't ask him too. His concern was if we needed to take kids into the hospital we'd both need to be home if their breathing got bad. Also he was concerned for my health as I was fastly getting so much worse. We couldn't get COVID tests as they are out everywhere we did get prescriptions and did a virtual appointment though.

His work told him he isn't allowed to call in when his family is sick. He told them "fine." Then told me he will always put his family first. I know an employer can't legally have standing on this. He has called in sick once in 9 months and has worked at this company for 14 years. So none of this made sense.

My question is if you and all your kids are sick has your husband ever called in to work?
