Anti-Mullerian Level High?

Question

I’m 33 and I had my blood work done as part of my fertility testing. My anti-mullerian level came back at 5.53 ng/mL. The test also indicates standard range to be between 0.36 - 10.07 ng/mL. Well Google…tells me anything over 4 may indicate PCOS. My appointment with my doctor isn’t until another 3 weeks. Any insights in the meantime?

Indeed, higher levels of AMH indicate the possibility of having PCOS. My lab has an interval between 0.07-7.35 ng/ml, my result being 5.49, I have been diagnosed with PCOS at 22yo, however, might have been this way since puberty. If the levels exceed the maximum or are very close to it, it is considered to have stage 4 PCOS with no ovulations, explaining the hight stock of ovules. I am stage 3. There are however some ranges, depending on the age of the woman which would determine how severe the PCOS is. From what you say, you are somewhere in the middle, I am no expert, but would assume that if you have PCOS, it is not severe and easier to manage. Hoping for good news!
