Scared of choking/kid taking HUGE bites

My daughter will be 2 next month. I’m still having a hard time letting her feed herself because she takes huge bites and when she swallows you can tell it’s u comfortable or painful.

She can feed herself with a spoon because she can’t scoop much up yet at once but things like crackers or granolas bars, stuff she holds herself, I’m terrified to let her feed herself because she takes such big bites. I’m still ripping up pieces and giving them to her.

I want to give her stuff to learn but I’m so scared. Is this a normal thing while they’re learning to feed themselves? Should I just let her go for it?

Thank you. (If you can’t tell this is my first child lol)
