PCOS AND INFERTILITY my story
Our infertility story/journey.... my husband and I tried for a year to have a baby and had no luck. No obgyn said anything about there being a problem so we kept trying. I went to my endocrinologist to get a scan for my Chiari malformation and my cyst in my pituitary gland. She said well its not the cyst causing you to have problems getting pregnant. Have you ever got an ultrasound of your ovaries I told her no and she scheduled an ultrasound. It came back that I had PCOS and my levels where low for ovulation. I went back and told my obgyn and he put me on clomid and sent me to a infertility specialist on James road in Columbus. The fertility specialist said I wasn't on a high enough dose and said I also needed extra hormones so they put me on a higher dose and gave me a different pill as well. He also told me with pcos a low calorie diet would help. So I started eating under 2,000 calories a day and started working out 3 times a week and started a high dose of the fertility treatments. After 6 months of doing the higher fertility treatments we found out a month after our wedding that we where expecting 🥰 we couldn't believe it. Now we have a beautiful baby girl. They told us we could try for a second child but its not guaranteed that we will have another one. We have been trying off and on since out daughter turned 1 with a different fertility treatment and she will be 4 in June. We have had no luck. We have a chemical pregnancy when serenity was 2 years old witch is a miscarriage before 4 weeks. We went back to the one that helped us have our daughter. So now we are doing that treatment with a nother pill and a vitamin along with other things. Back on. A low calorie diet and working out.. We hope to have one more our daughter really wants to be a big sister. For anyone going through this you are not alone. It is hard on the person fighting infertility and there partner too. The hormones that the women have to take make some crazy Its a emotional for anyone involved. And pcos it's so is hard on a women and there body when it comes to so many different things, emotions, weight low, hair growth, mood swings and so much more. Well thats our story. 🥰
