C-section ?

Question

Has anyone opted to have a C-section after multiple natural births? The reason I'm asking I want to ask for a C-section with this one with it being my last baby so that they can go ahead and tie my tubes while they are in there. This is our fourth kid and we are completely sure it's our last 🤣

As a person’ who’s had a C-section  I wouldn’t recommend C-section and tubes tied. I have fibroids and asked my doctor to cut them during C- section she stated too risky I would bleed out. The goal in C- section is to get baby out and you closed up as soon as possible. prolong time leads to other health risk.

Just curious, why wouldn’t you just do a vaginal birth and then get your tubes tied separately? A C-section is a major surgery, but getting your tubes tied is a minimally invasive one. I wouldn’t want to opt for a full C-section just to get my tubes tied.

Most doctors won’t even consider an elective c section. It not only puts a risk to yourself but baby as well plus the recovery time is much worse. I am wanting to get my tubes tied after this hopefully 3rd baby 5th pregnancy but won’t be asking for an elective c section even though there’s a chance I’ll have one anyways due to me having placenta previa and really low platelets but that’s another added risk all together. I’d ask your doctor how long after delivery you can get your tubes tied that way you only need a minimally invasive surgery and you can still do things after delivery.

Just my opinion, if you can do the natural birth just do that. I had some friends that had c-section and they said the incision is painful and bothersome. I’m not saying vaginal is less painful but it’s your decision. I’m getting my tubes tied and they will be doing it laparoscopically through my belly button

I wouldn't have thought they would offer a c section if there's no medical reason to do so. It's major surgery and recovery is so much worse and longer.

I had a c section with my first and a vaginal with my second. I would never opt for an elective c section. My recovery from vaginal birth was nothing compared to c section. The recovery was hard for me, and taking care of many children while recovering with c section will be really hard, in my opinion (given my pain threshold). 
Having said that, some people find it easy recovering from C section.

If I end up in a c-section, then ok, go ahead and tie my tubes, but I wouldn’t elect to have a c-section if not medically necessary.
