If you’ve had mastitis how did it start?

Yesterday I had a low fever and chills plus a sore throat. Today I have no fever but a nasty sore throat and my right boob (only lower half) feels like I’ve been beat with a baseball bat. No other symptoms except the nipple on that side is redder. Could this be mastitis?

When I had it my boob was red, hot to the touch & in SERIOUS pain. I had a low grade fever & chills as well but the worst part was the breast pain.

I had a very high fever 104 I was puking none stop I had chills and I was shaking I couldn’t stand or sit up because it hurt so bad… I had to go to the emergency room they gave me an IV and antibiotics. I felt fine the next day but my supply lowered and I had to build it back up… this was when she was 8 months she’s now 11 months worst feeling ever!

Sounds like it...I had zero symptoms except when I lay on side my boob felt really bruised and tender, the following day it started to get red with a lump in the tissue...contact doc for antibiotics asap

I had a low fever and chills. My fever ran consistently around 101. My breast was very hot and hurt like crazy. Also, my milk had a off smell to it. I had a big red bump underneath where the mastitis was at. My nips were very sensitive as well.
