Chlamydia treatment questions

So I tested positive for chlamydia and this is the first time I’ve had sex since my bf died. I went to urgent care and they gave me a shot to treat it and prescribed me 2 pills to take for 1 day. I took the 2 pills a few days late and I was wondering will this affect the process of it clearing up??
