Hey guys, FTM and I have an almost 1 year old boy and when he takes a bath he grabs himself SO much! Like I expected some fiddling around with his penis/balls, but he acts like he wants to tear them off squeezing them and pulling them so hard! We try to keep his nails trimmed and he still is so intense with touching that he leaves cuts on his balls/penis/thigh crack. We started trying to grab his hand and not let him touch himself, but he literally tries hundreds of times and it was exhausting, so we ended up putting him in swim diapers to bathe. Then I started thinking I didn’t want to make him think touching himself was bad and maybe withholding him from that would make it worse, so we have been just letting him have full reign and if he didn’t hurt himself I’d be fine with it, but he was bleeding tonight after not preventing it in the bath. Is this normal at all? Are some boys just more rough than others? Could he have a UTI or some skin irritation? Please share your thoughts!
