Odds of twins?

What are the odds of me having twins? My mom is a twin and my grandmother on my dad's side has 2 sets of twins in her family. My husband has twins in his family but they are his cousins.

Your dads family has nothing to do with it and your husbands family has nothing to do with it. It only matters from mother to daughter with genetics, and even then your chance is extremely low, just less extremely low than others

I was a twin but my twin didn't develop and died early on. I do have twins on my Mom's side of the family, her sister had twin girls, my cousins. I'm currently pregnant with twins a boy and girl now at 37 so for me my maternal age most likely played a part in me ovulating 2 eggs. I have had 4 other pregnancies and they've all been singletons.

I have a high family history of twins (my maternal grandmother had two sets of twins, and I was a twin but my mom miscarried one) so I was considered "high risk for twins" don't know the specific numbers though. This is my third, probably last, pregnancy and they've all been singletons.

I say chances are there but maybe unlikely.  Like others have said twins run in the moms side. I know my grandma was a twin but the other sac didnt develop right. Her daughters only had 2 pregnancies none were twins so chances i say are there but slim.

Only go by women. What goes on on your dads side is irrelevant.. Those who have more twins (not identical ones) in maternal line are basically in the odds to ovulate more than one egg in a cycle, so yes chanches are higher. But not much, basically only little, so I would not rely on it still.
