Enfamil AR and nipple size?

My son recently switched to Enfamil AR. Before I started giving him the formula I read reviews and I bought a size 2 in the Dr. Browns nipples and those worked great. Well since then I have switched him to Avent glass bottles for health reasons. The first time he started drinking from the bottle he took 50 minutes to eat. His doctor said he should finish a bottle between 10 and 20 minutes. So he started screaming and I was trying to hurry to make the holes larger. So I used a knife and obviously you aren’t supposed to you’re supposed to just stretch the hole out. So that made an uneven cut. I tried squeezing the nipple and it comes out as a stream. He’s a month old. He tried it and he’s not chocking on it, the problem is he eats his 4 ounces in less than 8 minutes. Now I’m not even sure if him eating too fast is a problem, but I don’t even know what size nipples to get from Avent that would let him get more milk out. He’s using size 3 now. First time mom here and I’m honestly confused at the moment. Should I just let him keep eating from these nipples that I’ve cut?
