Crib and bassinet

Question

So I want my LO to have a bassinet to stay off in. And then I want to switch him to a crib when he gets a little older and outgrows the bassinet. Wha are some recommendations? Money is an issue. I don’t wanna spend a lot of money on a bassinet because I know he will outgrow it quick but I’m willing to spend on a crib. One that converts t like a toddler bed then a full size bed or something.

We have this one in brown. Easy to put together. I got it on sale at Target for like $180 or so. I have only looked into the toddler conversion and it was like $30 so cheaper than a toddler bed! This is a picture of our bassinet. I also got it at target for like $60-$80. It holds up to 18 pounds I think? 
Another option that may be better than a bassinet will be a pack n play! Baby can stay in it longer and many have a changing table. A good one goes for about $120. My 17 month old still naps in one at my moms house!

We did the bassinet insert of a pack n play. Inexpensive, lasts a while (5mo for each of our kids), and still useful after they grow out of the bassinet part.  Then we moved them to a regular crib (handed down so I don’t know the brand). Then we bought a twin bed. We skipped the toddler bed entirely.

My daughter hated her bassinet (I’m glad I didn’t buy an expensive one) but did better in her crib. If I were to do it again, I would skip the bassinet and just use the pack n play until baby transitions into the crib.

I second delta childrens brand! Nice quality, reasonable price, and if you take care of it they’ll only need the one their whole life. Mine converts not only into a toddler bed but then an adult bed. As for the bassinet, maybe check FB marketplace or look for some simple ones on Amazon. As long as It’s a certified bassinet It’s a safe sleep space, don’t get caught up on branding for things like halo or snoo. You don’t need a ton of bells and whistles. I have a fisher price bassinet and it’s great. You could also do a pack and play with a bassinet insert to get more bang for your $.
