Question

Does anyone know of a car seat that ticks all of these boxes and is approved in the EU?
-lightweight (preferably under 8kg)
-long rear facing (to 4 years)
-useable at least to 7 years
-Isofix compatible without a separate base
I’m basically looking for an EU version of the Cosco Scenera, but I can’t seem to find a car seat that meets ALL of these requirements.

Convertible/combi car seats aren't recommended, especially not in Norway, Sweden, and Finland that have the strictest car seat safety recommendations and laws. Because the ones available on the European market forces you to trun your kid around way to early, forward facing with a five point harness should be avoided at all costs, and chances are that it doesn't give the correct belt path when it's time to use it as a high back booster. This needs to be checked for each kid as it's critical that it's correct to be safe. 
Most go from a baby seat, to seat number two. Seat number two should be plus-tested. If you want one that last as long as possible there's axkid one that goes to 23kg and is fastened with Isofix. There's plenty of belt fastened seats that goes to 25kg and even 32and 36 kg. When this stage are outgrown then you buy a high back booster.
