Long story short - my husband and I are discussing having kids soon (I’ve always wanted to be a mom and he’s open to one or multiple children). However, the more we discuss it the more nervous I am. I have all these questions and I could really use some advice.

- for reference I will be 24 this August and my husband will be 26 in May.

I’ve always said I want to be done having kids by 30 because of family medical issues that seem to be common in my family for women who get pregnant over 30. But if we want 2-3 kids that means we’d have the possibility of 3 kids under 6 over the next few years.

My question is - how old were you when you had your first? Do you wish you had started earlier/waited longer? If so why? If you had kids young did you feel like you missed out on any life experiences? If you waited do you feel out of place with other parents in your child’s age group?

For moms with multiple kids under 6 - how did you manage the stress with having so many little ones that close in age? I’ve always wanted 2-3 kids but I’m not sure what kind of age gap makes sense.

Lastly, for moms that had kids over 30 - did you experience any complications because of it?
