So me and my husband were at a restaurant.

We ordered our food and then about 15 -20 minutes later I see our waiter walk out of the kitchen with what looks like our exact order.

I tell my husband here’s our food coming.

Then the waiter walks to a couple tables over from ours and sets it down on another table. We look over and my husband say oh funny that couple ordered the same food as us. But I was instantly suspicious that that was our food because our order was unique with certain things on the side that normally aren’t on the side and that was how those plates were.

I was looking at the couple and I see them pick up some of the food off the plate and eat a couple fries. A couple minutes pass and I see them flag down the waiter. I couldn’t hear what they said. But then the waiter grabs the plates off their table and walks over to ours and set the same plates on our table. I was a little in shock and I’m kinda a shy soft spoken person so I didn’t say anything right away. After the waiter left I told my husband that I saw the other couple touch and eat some of the food and they brought us the same plates.

We decided we weren’t going to eat the food and were going to say something especially with the covid virus going around. Well we waited and waited for the server to come back around. After 15 minutes and not seeing the server we decided we didn’t want to even have them make us a new plate and just wanted to leave and go somewhere else.

We walk up to the front to talk to the host and explain what happened. The host says they will get the manager. The manager comes out and asks us what happened and we explain again. The manager says they asked the waiter and they said that it wasn’t the same plates of food and they had the kitchen make new plates. I tell them no, I watched them bring out the plates set them on the other table and then come back and get the plates and bring them straight to our table never went back to the kitchen or anything. The manger pretty much tells me I’m wrong and it’s not the same plates, and is just being extremely rude to us. We tell them we are leaving and no longer want the food. And this fucking manger says normally they would still require us to pay since we ordered the food but won’t this time.

We leave and are pissed that they treated us like we were in the wrong here. We obviously won’t be going back there. Would you of done the same thing as us? Or what would you have done?
