*TW misscarrige*

Can someone tell me if this is normal?

Had a miscarriage back in early December and had a D&C. Stopped bleeding/spotting maybe 12 days after.

This month have come on my period and its now day 16 and is showing no signs of stopping. First week was really heavy but now its more light period/heavy spotting. But today have started with left side lower abdo pain.

Just wanted to see if this was normal and get other people's experience on how long to expect it to go on for.

I have called GP they said it sounds normal. But surely 16 days is now excessive, everything online says 7 days is normal after a loss.
