My husband doesn’t need my permission to do anything he is his own person. But there is one thing that I don’t want him to do and that is get a street bike. My uncle died on a street bike when a drunk driver hit him. I just feel like they are so unsafe and every time he goes out on it he will be gambling his life. It will literally affect my mental health because everytime he goes out on it I will be having extreme anxiety that he will get in a accident.

I don’t want him to have one because I love him and I don’t want him to put his life in danger. Am I wrong? Is it wrong or controlling to tell him no I don’t want him to get a street bike?

Edit- he has a dirt bike and quad which he rides in the dirt not the street. Although I do get nervous and worried when he goes out in those I don’t feel it’s comparable to a street bike around idiot drivers with no protection of a car around you.
