What age did you stop giving baths?

Question

At what age did your child stop taking baths and start taking showers?
And what age were they when they could turn the water on, wash themself and their hair, and then get out without your help?

My oldest started showers as soon as he could stand reliably, so probably 12 months. He went back to baths at age 2 when I had my youngest and would put her in a bath. As soon as she was able to stand they both went back to taking showers exclusively. My oldest is now 5 and showers himself every day after he gets home from school.

Never. She showered sometimes starting at like 4 but preferred baths. She now does a mix of showers and baths. She could wash herself and everything around 5 but still needed help with rinsing her hair until like 7.

My daughter is 4 and has always been taking baths and I don’t plan to change this at all😁 it’s a part of her bed time routine, it relaxes her, she plays while I get everything ready and as long as she wouldn’t ask to take a shower, she can take baths forever🥰 I only give her a little water so please don’t picture the whole bath tub filled before someone tells me I am wasting water🙈

My kids are 5&3. They will take showers but they both prefer baths.  They can also wash themselves, my 3y/o needing guidance though. I typically sit in the hallway with the bathroom door open while my 5y/o is in the bath while he gives himself a bath.

Wow I don’t have a child but I can temper showers maybe 8 or 9 and I have baby say and he took a shower at 5

When I did babysitting, the youngest kid I showered was 1.5-2 years. I also had a 2-year old whose parents did baths. I think it’s a preference 🤷🏽‍♀️

Daughter started taking showers at 2. She'll be 4 in March. She's not yet to the age where she can do the water herself or even really fully wash herself. I do let her wash herself the first time and then I go back over and do it because she only does her belly really.

My 5 year old mainly takes showers but we let him choose at this point. Sometimes he likes to play in the bath still. He started showers at 4 years old.

My 5yr old showers himself and can turn the water off when he’s done. We still turn the water on and wash his hair for him.
My 2yr old has been taking showers with me since we bought her home from the hospital. When she turned 1, however, we started giving her her own showers. We have a removable shower head and shower her that way. We find it easier to teach her how to wash her own body that way. (We still wash her but let her try afterwards).

My son is 2.5 and just started taking showers, but will take a bath with his younger brother on occasion.
