Fiances and Newlyweds Would you order these?

Question

I am surveying my target market for my baking business.. I specialize in custom cake pops and cakesicles. Would these be something you'd order for a wedding, bridal shower, or bachelorette party? These are just an example, I make them in different colors, flavors, etc. Feedback would be so appreciated. ❤
$25 • 12 cake pops (top left photo)
$20 • 12 cake bites (bottom left photo)
$28 • 12 cakesicles (bottom middle photo)
(I would lower the price on dozens with every dozen they order)

These are cute but to me they don't stand out. Pretty much every place I have seen that makes cake pops and stuff all have a basic version of this design. So these look nice but as cake pops have been around awhile I am not sure these are gonna entice people since they can already be gotten so many places. We do a big holiday party for my company every year and we alsqay have a crazy dessert bar. Literally every company I order from for whatever item has very very similar ones to order. If they taste really good maybe try to find a decorating style that stands out a bit more...something unique that you could make your brand off of. You may get some small local orders but don't think enough to make a full business out if just the products shown. 8 yrs ago these would have done great but cake pops because super common so they are everywhere now. It is clear you have an eye for clean work so I am sure you could figure out something to make yours stand out a bit more.

So many venues have rules that all cake or dessert items have to come from a licensed food vendor. So my state it is hard to do anything that isn't from a bakery. I think these are so good looking.

Absolutely I love it. I feel it’s good for a small side business. Remember, soooo many people make this. You need to make your product a little different from the rest so they can stand out. Either way, I love it and it’s beautiful. I would def order this.

If it’s an issue with vendors, what about doing it privately, birthday parties, Valentine’s Day, not necessarily for weddings, especially if they locked in and have contracts and crap. I think it’s great for a side hustle, just make sure you get the licensing and health inspection and permits and all that so it’s not an issue. Make sure you get insurance because the last thing you want us to get sued, food poisoning, etc. unfortunately this is the quick to sue country. ￼

They look good. But also look like sth i can do myself. I would order them if i had no time or no access to knowledge of how they are made. Just based off design. Or if i have had a taste and they are mind blowing, then i would order them and overlook the basic decoration. 
But if the design was better, or they had some personalised touch, i wouldnt think twice about ordering. I would definetly go for it.

I think they’re adorable and would buy them for a dessert table at a bridal shower or baby shower. A distant relative also makes desserts like this for the holidays and sells them as holiday boxes so that would be a cool idea, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up.

Some people prefer simple designs, some prefer that theirs stand out. I think for simplicity’s sake the drizzle is clean, price wise that’s fair. For more decorations I’d consider upping the price just a little because you are putting time and effort into these. Working in an actual bakery, I would consider doing a baker’s dozen vs 12. If you’re shipping these, you never know if one would be damaged along the way, or the customer may want to try one before setting them out for guests. Just something to think about, and you could market as a baker’s dozen. Some people assume with a baker that they are getting a baker’s dozen anyways. These are quite popular, so if they taste good then you’ll be able to sell them.

As long as you are open to customizing them to fit the couples idea and theme for their wedding, I think these are great! I got married in May and we did like 200 cake pops I think. The bakery we used sold them for $2 each but had deals for big orders, like how you mention discounting based on how many dozen they wanted. So this doesn’t seem like a bad price to me! Put color and decoration may be important to a lot of couples. So have no the flexibility of color colors, sprinkles, designs, and whatnot would be important too!
