What was your favorite music/song to hear during labor?

Time is near and I have multiple playlist just in case! I’m just curious to see what everyone else listened to, IF anything at all.

I thought I would listen to music or watch tv but in the moment I wanted no such thing lol

I absolutely could not have cared less about music while I was in labor either time 🤷‍♀️

In a hindsight, had I wanted music, I would’ve wanted music I always listened to. Upbeat show tunes 😂 Just something to keep our energy up. But I’ve heard to do classical music (maybe even Hans Zimmer music) or meditation music because there’s no words and it’s more “natural” for a lack of a better word. More environmental. More grounding.

I found music to be clutch on the way to the hospital. I also went through transition in the car 😂 so it was insanely painful. I couldn’t open my eyes. Haha I listened to the same song on repeat: Ordinary Girl by Rebelution. It was one of my husband’s favorite songs at the time about me 😍 so I was just able to latch onto the lyrics and it was almost like I think hypnobirthing would be?? By the time I got to L&D had my baby in my arms 7 mins later haha it was PERRRRFECT ❤️🙏🏼

My husband put on lofi when we were in triage and that was good because it was relaxing and filled the silence as we waited. When we were moved into a room, my husband flipped through the channels on the tv asking what I wanted on, he got to the food network and I had him stop there. I couldn’t focus on what was actually on anyway and cooking shows are out go-to when we just want to throw something on. The Great British Bake Off was on when my daughter was born 😂 not my favorite but it was a good choice for me in the moment.

Yeah I had a playlist and had it playing. But I never heard any of the songs lmao. In the moment I was just focusing all on my contractions.

I had a specific album I was gone listen to. It was so relaxing and I listened to it many times imagining what it would be like to use for labor. The album became unavailable in my region the day before I went into labor 🥴

I mostly listened to instrumental/meditation music, but I asked our doula ahead of time to change the song to “You Were Born” by Cloud Cult once my baby was crowning. It was so grounding for me
