Hi ladies!

I need your help. I am currently 34 weeks and due early March. I am very very very blessed to be able to work from home permanently even after the pandemic is over. I work managing a book of business and am comfortable with my clients and pretty much make my own days and schedule - ideal when being a new mom and having the ability for free time whenever I need it.

I’ve been presented with an opportunity for a promotion for a similar role in a different capacity. It’s a new role that is still being created and my clients would change. Meaning I may have to give more attention to my job than I currently do and restart the relationships all over with a new batch of clients. This position also involves some travel locally depending on the clients need. The manager is not a big pusher of travel and she herself does not travel to meet her own clients.

I feel extremely conflicted if to accept or not.

Yes there is a raise, nothing major but it is a promotion and I would be getting to do more interesting work.

Prior to getting pregnant I was actively looking for a new job as I don’t feel like I am flexing my brain in my currently role. And I hate being bored. However, the moment I found out I was pregnant, I could not be more blessed with my current job and role. I know eventually I’ll be wanting out and to want bigger and greater again.

With the biggest life change coming up I’m a month and now an opportunity for change of work - I feel so lost!! I want to be primary care taker if my son and my current role allows that for me 100% but I am also the type to always want more and improve myself professionally.
