Post Partum sex

I just tried having sex after almost 3 months post partum. It hurt because I was dry. We tried using the really good lube and halfway through I just couldn’t. Our baby sleeps next to us in a pack n play. Anyone else go through this. My mind and soul want to but my body is just dried out.
