No postpartum hairloss anyone ???

I read that about 40-50% women experience postpartum hairloss. How much of this is actually true ?? Is there anyone who did not see major hairloss postpartum??? I am curious

Hair loss is from vitamin deficiency, if you eat well it can be avoided. I lost a lot of hair with my first child, rarely any with my 2nd.

I’m 3 months pp now and starting to see lots of hair everywhere I’m beginning to shed not sure how much I’m going to lose lol

I think my hair has thinned over the last few years, but really cannot say for sure that that’s due to my pregnancies. I did not experience the postpartum hair loss that can happen around the hairline or in patches.

I did not. I lost no hair during pregnancy and started losing normal amounts of hair after birth. I got a bunch of new baby hairs around my hairline though

With my son, I had no noticeable hair loss. With my baby girl…holy moly! Still rocking patches of baby bangs in random areas. I read pp hair loss is due to the normal cycle of shedding hair is slowed down/paused due to increase in estrogen during 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Normally, hair is shed in different areas at different times as a part of the normal hair growth cycle; however, pp as our estrogen levels drop many hairs that had kept growing during 3rd trimester instead entering a normal phase of rest are able to enter the rest phase of the growth cycle again and the shedding happens all at once instead of scattered over time. I wonder why I had so much more pp hair loss with my baby girl than baby boy. Anyone else notice this trend?

I was so grateful mine wasn’t falling out because I’ve heard so many stories! My daughter turns 3 months on Feb 3rd. My hair unfortunately is now falling out even though I’m still using prenatals and my hair is never up as I’m on leave from work. Went from not falling out at all to falling out very quickly 😭

I have has postpartum hair loss 3 times now. Right around 4 months it starts. Near my temples and all around my hair line I guess you could say. And then eventually grows back but its sooo ugly I absolutely hate and dread it. I have curly hair so they definitely stick out all the time. Im finally at the point and 15 months pp to give myself some bangs 🙄

For me it’s more that I didn’t lose the normal daily amount during pregnancy….so it’s way more noticeable when I start losing normal amounts again. I’ve always had thin hair but it thickens during pregnancy because I’m not losing as much.
