First ultrasound 6w1d. Is it normal?

I'm freaking out. I was certain I was 5w6d but I measure 6w1d. However, I can only see the yolk! No fœtal pole... The US didn't last long, she only wanted to me sure it wasn't another ectopic. I'm going back in a week. Does this seem okay for 6w1d? I'm so nervous and nauseous I just want to sleep until next friday.. 🥺

I had ultrasounds with both my boys at 6 weeks and there was a baby with a heartbeat. BUT: with my first I knew exactly when he was conceived and still my due date was 4 days “late”. I am counting those 6 weeks based on the due date! 
I asked them how this was possible and they explained to me that the embryo in this stage sometimes stops developing for a few days. Then another growth spurt.. then again stops.. this is why they don’t confirm a due date untill 9+ weeks in the Netherlands. If they make the ultrasound just before or after a growth spurt; it is not reliable. 
So there will be people in this app (like me) that will tell you there was a baby and a heartbeat. But yours is also completely normal. Problably just before your babys next growth spurt.

This happened with my son ! There was no heartbeat , no fetal pole. Went back a week later to a fetal pole & heartbeat. Same thing with this current baby. I am of course still stressed even though I’ve been through this before and everything turned out fine. Google makes it worse. I ovulate way later than the 14 days so it makes sense for things to be a little behind

I went in at 6W on the dot. I saw a sac and the doc showed me a dark gray area that was measuring 6W on point. I go back Thursday (Feb. 3) I’ll be 6W6D hopefully we see a heartbeat.

That's exactly how I looked at 6w +1 mumma!! There's not much to see at 6 weeks other than the sac and yolk 💗💗
