Ordering food/drinks during a bad snow storm?
How do you guys feel about ordering food/drinks during a bad snow storm?
I know it’s not really that interesting of a topic, but I saw this on one of my mom Facebook groups. We had a bad snow storm last night, white out conditions, and a mom posted a picture of her wine saying “I forgot to pick up wine, so thankful for drizly” and she got a lot of backlash, since the person delivering had to drive in terrible conditions.
Other people were saying this is how the delivery driver makes their living.
I personally wouldn’t order food during bad weather. I feel like if I don’t want to drive in it, why should I make someone else. I don’t order food a lot, only from a local restaurant, and a pizza place, and every time we get a delivery, it’s always a young kid delivering.
I don’t know how other delivery services work, if the driver has the option to stay home in bad weather, but I know in my experience it’s always a teenager delivering from our local restaurant.
How do you guys feel about this? Is it wrong to order, or is it ok bc drivers have to make a living?
