My husband and I recently started trying. This past time I just KNEW I was pregnant. I finally got a positive on 12 DPO (a Friday) just to see the line get lighter over the next few days. I contacted my doctor on that Friday, but wasn’t able to get ahold of her until the following Monday when I started bleeding heavily. Finally got in to see my doctor a week after my positive, and she told me it was most likely a chemical (did a blood test and trans-vaginal ultrasound where she discovered a very small cyst on my left ovary, but didn’t sound too concerned about that), and that I could keep trying and that it shouldn’t happen again. (Still haven’t heard back on the blood work) For it being my first time seeing a positive pregnancy test, I got so excited and didn’t think about the possibility of that not lasting. I need some encouragement. How many of you have experienced this, and how many got pregnant within a year or so after?
