My twin sister and I are due 1 week apart and I’m feeling ignored by my mom
Hello! My twin sister is due March 8 (her first) and I’m due March 15 (my daughter is 2 yrs old). We live about 45 min apart in Wisconsin. My mom lives in Georgia. When I had my daughter in Jan 2020 my mom came up for 2 weeks to help me when my husband went back to work. My sister is getting induced Valentine’s Day due to low fetal growth so her baby may be in nicu for a bit. I may end up going a week after her on Feb 21 since we are measuring big and I have high blood pressure. My mom wants to come up when they get home from nicu to help her for 2 weeks. I’m feeling kinda left out bc my sister wants “mom time” but I’d also like to have help and was thinking we could all just cloister up in one house and take care of both babies between the 3 of us adults. My mom is trying to be fair but I also didn’t plan on having babies so close together with my sister and she is my mom too. My husband and I will stop after this one and my sister still wants one more. I don’t feel like I deserve to be removed from all help because of this being my second baby. Am I being too petty? Seems reasonable to me that the family should stand by all. Help with processing this would be much appreciated!
