How long should the talking stage last?

I just wanted to hear y’all’s opinions. I’ve been dating this guy since mid december and we’ve been talking since the start of November. Im in no rush to get cuffed, I just wanted to know how long it lasted for y’all?

The talking stage for my relationship lasted like a year, tbh 🙃 it wasn't really smooth sailing in the beginning, especially due to pandemic & very long distance. 
I think it just depends on the people and the circumstances & what they want. 
My shortest talking stage was 1 month, and that was too fast for me. I honestly made a big mistake getting into that relationship. 
I'm a cautious person and not very commital, so I think the optimal for me is like 3-8 months, but with some very open conversations needing to take place. 
I think everyone is different, I think other people are better at deciding to date officially than me. I didn't ever want a traditional relationship, so I'm normally not in a big rush, lol

As long as you both have talked about your intentions  then don't worry about how long. Do you want to get in a serious relationship? Does he? Or is it just casual one?... 
my bf and I dated for a month then both decided we wanted to be in a serious relationship. Communication in any relationship is key.

In my personal opinion a month (maybe…MAX) assuming that if that person actually like and wanted to be with you you guys’ would talk everyday and hangout consistently. Current bf abd I talked for a week? Before hanging out, when we did hangout he asked me out. We’ve been dating for ab 7mo. 
I’ve had my time wasted before, where I’ve been lead on (8/9 months 😑) HA NEVER AGAIN. I learned my lesson lmfao .
