Anyone else a stay at home mum with a toddler too?

My husband went back to work today so it’s just me, baby and our 2.5 year old and I’m so anxious to be home alone with the 2 of them! I suffered from PPD with my first so I’m worried about getting too overwhelmed again

My baby was born January 11th and hubby went back to work a week later. I also have a 2 year old and a 14 month old at home. I also suffered pretty bad ppd after my now 14 month oldwas born (from about 10 weeks postpartum until 7/8 months postpartum and already well into my third pregnancy, it was terrible) and I’m also worried about getting overwhelmed again with my 2 toddlers and newborn. Im just taking it a day at a time and keep telling myself that no matter how overwhelming it gets, the day will end with them asleep, happy, and healthy.

Me! I have a 5 and 3 yr old. Omg the anxiety was bad and still is but my best advice is to not stress too much on schedules or how you think it will go- just go through the motions and it will get easier and more routine. 4 weeks in and I can say with high anxiety, sometimes just physically doing it and going with the flow of what “routine” is each day is helpful. If I’m thinking too far ahead or diving into those anxious thoughts, it just spirals my depression too. Lean into family and friends too. My husband went back to work after 2 weeks and my friend helped out for a few days. It greatly helped the transition. Maybe have 1-3 goals a day of something to do with your toddler while baby sleeps to help them and you! That seems to help break up my day better and doesn’t seem as long without hubby. This is personally what has helped me and as I mentioned I struggle with depression and anxiety.

You are definitely not alone! So my husband went back after being off for two weeks my firstborn is almost 2 1/2 and my newborn is three weeks it’s very overwhelming. Especially because I’m sure none of us are sleeping very well I know my sons been up every hour to two hours but I just keep telling myself all of these things are temporary and I’m just trying to get through the day hour by hour and not look too much ahead I am on maternity leave and I will be going back to work full-time so I’m just trying to make the best of it.

Mine is going back to work in 2 weeks so only with a total of 3 weeks being off. I'm nervous as heck too. I have a 3.5 y/o that's rambunctious as heckkkk. She won't start preschool for another month or so.
 If you need anyone to talk to message me! We got this momma! It might be hard to get the hang of it but we can do this!
