What’s the context? Like if I light a candle and I’m leaving the house and he is here and will need to make sure the house doesn’t burn down, sure. Not just generally? No lol

No I don't. But last person to jump into bed does do the walk around and ensure doors are locked, food's in the fridge and candles blown out etc.

The conversation started cuz a wax melter got left on overnight. I told him he needs to check everything before he goes to bed as well. I usually do but sometimes I forget and go to sleep cuz he's still up. I expect him to make sure doors are locked and bird is put away, stuff like that. Normal shit, lol. Topic went into candles...
My fiance told me I need to tell him if I light a candle cuz it's an important thing to know if I'm setting things on fire in the house 😂😂 i told him no, nobody fucking does that. 
SO ANYWAY, I wanted to come on here and ask so I could show him, lol. Just a fun little spat 😅😁

Yes but only because I like to leave the house spontaneously and I might forget to blow it out, at least between the 2 of us someone might remember 🤣

Fuck no. That man has a nose that works and two eyes that he can see out of. If he can't tell a candle is lit by the scent of the candle or, you know, walking by and *seeing the flame on the candle*... Well... Then he's just plain unobservant or flat out stupid.

We rarely light candles in the house due to having animals, but I either place them in a stupidly obnoxious spot where you can’t help but notice them or I put them on a fireproof surface like the stove where if they were forgotten, the hazard is reduced (obviously not eliminated).
