Has speech therapy helped your little one?

My two year old was just set up for services and we have someone coming to the house next Tuesday. The speech therapist said it’s very “parent driven” during sessions.

I’m just wondering if anyone found their little one thriving with speech after the therapy visits?

My daughters issue is she KNOWS words and will say them in the correct context, and then sometimes won’t say them at all (ex: she will say “more” for more chicken at dinner, but when sharing a snack with me, I remind her we say “more” and she throws a fit)

She also does not say things like “mama help” or “more juice”. Like she can’t put the two words together to fully understand yet she understands “more” and “juice” separately.

I’m literally doing everything I possibly can to make her understand so I’m worried the sessions with me just aren’t going to help her 😭
