Partner not making an effort

I’m expecting my second baby and things with my partner aren’t so good. It’s been rocky even before the pregnancy but I feel things are just getting worse. I’m at a point where I am tired of constantly begging him to make an effort in the relationship. I feel like I’m forcing him. I keep asking if he wants to be in the relationship but his actions and his words don’t go hand in hand. I honestly wanted us to raise our kids together but I don’t think I’m willing to stay in a relationship where I’m not happy. My kids deserve a happy mother and if it means that I should separate with their father then so be it, right? I’m emotionally exhausted and I’m at a point where I can go a full day without talking to him. I think we both need to accept that our relationship has run its course and go separate ways for the sake of our kids
