Never ending period

BACKGROUND: Hey guys!! It’s me again, the girl with the never ending period. I have a question. So i started birth control a few months back and i got it in the form of the depo shot. soon after i got my first dose i realized that my period was longer than usual. then longer. and longer. and LONGER. It never stopped for the whole 3 months. i consulted my doctor about it and she said it may stop after my second dose so i got the second one. it stopped for about a week and it was very hopeful!! Then it was back… meaning 6 WHOLE MONTHS ON MY PERIOD NONSTOP. I decided to stop taking the shot because of these side effects and i was scheduled to get my third dose a few weeks ago. maybe even a month ago. Which i obviously skipped out on, but my period is still here! QUESTION: does anyone know how long it will take after not being on the depo shot for my period to end?
