If I end a class with 88%-89%, would my professor bump it up to an A?

i’m taking an accounting course for the winter break & it’s time consuming. by the looks of my scores on my assignments, it looks like i would be ending with either an 88% or 89%. would it be possible for the professor to just bump it up? should i email him?

I would never ask a professor to just bump my grade. I’d ask for some extra credit work to do to earn it.

I have an MBA in accounting. I’ve taken A LOT of accounting classes. Accountants are numbers people, they aren’t going to just “bump” your grade up to something it’s not. You can ask for a way to earn that extra few percent you need but they aren’t going to fudge your numbers just because you asked. That would be bad accounting.

An a is usually 93% or above. Bumping it up from a 92 might be reasonable but not five percent.
