Anyone Working Out??

Hi Ladies,

Before pregnancy, I worked out 5 days a week. When I got my BFP I laid off working out since I’ve had several MCs and wanted to make sure everything was ok. I’m now 7 weeks and have heard the babies heartbeat, so feeling more confident about getting back in the gym.

I’m pretty nauseous right now, but I’ve read a few articles from women who mention working out actually helps with nausea.

What is everyone’s experience???

I do non heated power flow yoga and it’s a great way to get my blood flowing.

Did my first workout today. 30 mins on the peloton and 10 mins light weights. Felt nauseous when I started to sweat, but pushed through. Happy I worked out, but definitely makes your nausea worse.

Just spoke to my Doctor today. I work out with light weights and the plan is to do that my whole pregnancy so postpartum doesn’t kick my butt like last time. She mentioned no HR above 130, be able to speak while working out, heavy lifting should be avoided (not to harm the baby but yourself since she can’t treat you while pregnant and can be painful if something happens), the bike is fine, no issue as long as I’m comfortable. Her sticking point was to maintain below 130 HR. Good luck!

I didn’t exercise from about 6 weeks to 10 weeks because of nausea and fatigue. Restarting slowly again. Just short workouts on the rowing machine and a lot of bridges and stretching.

I workout still. I worked out 6 days per week and lifted heavy. Once I found out I still went, I just go when I can and feel up to it & only will lift up to 40ish pounds now. It’s good to continue to workout, but just go easy! Listen to your body.

I’ve been working out 4-5 days a week(just I did pre BFP). It does help me when I feel nauseous, but then sometimes not. I guess you’re not focused on puking as you have endorphins and stuff going while you’re doing it so it takes over. Just take it easy!

I’m almost 29 weeks and have been working out my entire pregnancy. I have not had any issues at all but definitely talk to you doctor if you are worried or notice any issues.
