Find the right doctor!! (Longish post)

I've seen 2 doctors... one i told i didn't want to do the 3 hour glucose and I just wanted to monitor my sugars at home. She told me no and to do it. I got past the first blood draw and got sick. First blood draw was high.

2nd doctor, he told me he wanted to rule out cholestasis and for me to do a blood draw/test. He never ordered it! 4 weeks went by and I reached out and could never get a hold of him. Left messages with his assistants. I even reached out to my first doctor, and NOTHING. Mind you, that's a life threatening thing if it was positive.

So today, I saw a 3rd doctor. First thing he told me, that I have gestational diabetes and have I been monitoring twice a week at the hospital? I said what no, nobody ever said anything about that. He told me it should've started at 34 weeks, they do an ultrasound every week to make sure baby is ok and some other tests. So he left the room and scheduled me for that.

I told him about the cholestasis and how the bloodwork was never ordered. He left the room and ordered it. I got the blood work done same day!!

My blood pressure was elevated and I told him my hands were sometimes swollen. He said that swelling is usually normal but lets check. He left AGAIN to check my protein and urinalysis results. He said it was borderline but we'll keep track of it at my twice a week hospital appointments.

THIS WAS THE MOST PRODUCTIVE APPOINTMENT I HAVE HAD.

I felt seen, heard, and taken care of. If you haven't found the right doctor for you, keep searching, ladies. They're out there lol 💕💕
