It depends on the person, imo. Some people are pretty consumed by work. But I think that's always the workaholic avoidant attachment types.

My now husband can easily be like that. Days dissappear for him and he is in survival mode.
He did however understand the importance for me of a text or two and quickly learned it was worth it to keep me calm.
But honestly, if I'm overwhelmed with anything in my life I contact no one. I shut down.
