Recommended baby shampoo?

My 5 week old seems to get dry scalp and dry skin does anyone have any recommended body wash and shampoo?

We used baby oil mixed with my son’s lotion on his body and then I would put oil on his hair to help with dry scalp and cradle cap! It worked for us!

I didn't start using soap on my kid's head until she was 6 months old. Water and a comb works fine. My kid also needed petroleum jelly and breast milk on her scalp to help with some issues like dryness and peeling for her first few months. Most of the time only a drop of Aveeno or unscented body wash is enough to wash a baby with a soft washcloth. Once baby can sit up in the tub is when my kid actually started enjoying baths and I took them more seriously.

We didn't use any soap at that age - just warm water and a washcloth. Definitely helped decrease her dry skin!

I’ve used this to get some much needed moisture on my baby’s head during bath time. I sometime follow with Aveeno but I’m trying to shift away from that brand. Be sure you’re rinsing soap/shampoo completely out of their hair. Aveeno lotion gave my daughter a horrible rash on her belly. Same thing with Johnson’s baby lotion. The best I’ve found so far is Dove Baby. I put some on her every morning and it’s been working great! I also use Zarbees Face Balm overnight since her face gets super dry.

I love Pipette. It’s nontoxic and very gentle and moisturizing. I will say that around 5 weeks it’s very common for your baby to have dry skin and it eventually goes away on its own. During that time I used a lot of Tubby Todd All Over Ointment on my daughter’s hair and skin and it cleared it up super fast.
