If you have a short LH surge and are confirming ovulation when do you ovulate ?

My lh surge is very short and is only for a couple of hours and I often miss it. I think I'm ovulating during or very shortly after due to ovulation cramps and symptoms. I know this isn't a good indicator of anything and I haven't track bbt to find out and probably won't because of my schedule. But for people who ARE confirming ovulation and have a short lh surge when do you ovulate. Just curious.

Or does anyone notice they ovulate super quick after surge? I'm wondering if basically I'm missing ovulation if I wait for the surge.
