First prenatal appt

After many mix ups and complications at my OBGYN today (due to bad weather & short staffing), we were able to get a quick glance at baby (about 45 seconds total) and measured heart tones at 176bpm. We didn’t actually get to hear the heart beat, but saw it on the screen. I also thought they’d check measurements, but didn’t. This is the one picture they gave us. Blood draw was a disaster and after blowing a vein on their third attempt, they aren’t sure if they got enough for the MaterniT21 test. 😔 We will find out next week if I have to go back. It’s an hour & 15 min drive for me, so it’s quite a journey to get there. Fingers crossed that it was enough! We were beyond relieved to see our little baby growing and with a strong heart beat. We finally told our 4 yo son and he is so happy to be a big brother! When we asked him to guess what he was looking at in the photo, he said, “is it a ghost?!?” 😆 I definitely see why he’d think that.
