When will I start to produce milk

Colostrum will start during pregnancy and that can be at any time it’s different for everyone. Your milk will come in a few days after delivery

Colostrum can start anytime after getting pregnant, milk production will be a few days after birth. The placenta detaches and signals your body to start producing milk.

Milk wont start being produced until the placenta detaches from the uterine wall. Usually it occurs within a week of delivery

I had an emergency c section and the lactation consultant at the NICU advised that c section mommas may take up to a week after birth to really feel like milk is coming in, it took me probably 4-5 days to not feel like pumping was a complete waste of time
