Low progesterone?

Anyone here have any experience with low progesterone, and any success conceiving with treatment? I think I may have low progesterone. I spot lightly bright red or pink for 3-5 days (this has only been happening for the last 4 months--before I'd have a bit of dark spotting for a day or two) before AF starts, and AF is super painful, heavy, and clotty. Been TTC for 6 months, and I'm 35, so I'm thinking of finding a specialist.
Any shared experiences would be appreciated.

I have low progesterone. Been on progesterone for 7 years. Spotting before and after period is completely normal though. But if you think it could be a progesterone issue I’d recommend speaking with your doctor and seeing if they would do some basic fertility testing like progesterone check.

I’d talk to your doctor… I spot 3-5 days before missed period. Labs and ultrasound totally normal thought. I did take progesterone during my last pregnancy, but not until 12wks to prevent preterm labor (first baby I had at 34 wks, no reason why). Second baby on progesterone starting at 12 wks, had her at 37wks.
