Potty training a boy

Im a single mother of 2(soon to be 3)girls and a boy.

My ex is mostly working out of state so he isn’t around too much.

For the past month or so my 16 month old has been taking off his clothes and pull ups to “explore” , but this leads to pee all over my carpets 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I tried onesies but he discovered how to somehow get it out still.

I’m not sure how to go about potty training him as he doesn’t listen too well yet. I was told to take him outside to teach him to pee but it’s way too cold to do that right now.

He does tell me “potty” or “poopoo” when he went potty so any advice on how to go about this is appreciated.
