Is this early labor?

I’m 38+3 and have been having BH for the last couple of nights. I woke up today feeling really crampy, like period cramps and when I went to the bathroom I lost my mucus plug. Still feeling super crampy and still losing plug. I’m not sure if I need to call my doctor or just wait it out. The cramps are just a dull ache and not really something I could start timing so not sure they they’re contractions or not..but I am feeling then in my lower belly and lower back.

Generally speaking you want to go in if your contractions are about 5 minutes a part. If you can walk, talk, and go about your day during a contraction it’s probably just Braxton hicks. A true contraction takes your breath away and forces you to focus on it. It will come in waves and get closer together over the course of an hour or two.

I felt just crampy with my twins, ignored it for a day. When I finally called my dr they told me to come in and they were born

Sounds like it could be early labour! Mine started with period pains. Start timing when you get contractions, they’ll come in “waves” xx
