Non FTM did membrane sweeps work?

Question

Google seems to say it’ll either jumpstart labor within 48hrs or do nothing. I’m interested to know if it actually worked for anyone.
Been one of those (probably lucky) FTM that has had zero BH, cramps, anything. Due date is 3 days away and they offered to do a sweep today… hopes aren’t too high, only 1cm dilated but maybe he’ll be on time🤞

It’ll only work if your body is ready to give birth. I had one on Monday and went into labor Tuesday night. I say it’s worth a shot only if you’re over due. Otherwise it can be disappointing and just make you more uncomfortable

it put me in labor a couple days after with my first i got it done at 39 weeks and some days , i was 2cms & 90% effaced . im 39 weeks exactly 2cms dilated & 90% effaced with my second i just got the sweep done a little over five hours ago & haven’t felt much of anything really but cramped and spotted with my first , i guess everybody and every pregnancy is different .

I got one done but my cervix was to high so really the only the inside of my cervix got swept 🤷 it's supposed to be more effective the deeper they can reach during the sweep.

Worked with my first because my body and baby was ready. Didn’t get things going at 37+6 this time. Trying again at 38+4 and again at 38+6. 
It isn’t some fix all sure thing it really only helps if you were/are about to go into labor anyway. Good luck!!🍀

With both my other kids I went into labor within 24 hrs of a membrane sweep at 39 weeks.

Had this done twice with my first child and neither time worked. He just didn’t want to come out!!

I had one on Thursday and it didn’t work. Was 38+1, 3cm dilated and 70% effaced and baby is fully engaged. Going in on Wednesday for a second one at 39 weeks if I don’t go into labor before then🤞🏻 but this is my second baby. 
I had one with my son a day or two before my due date and my water broke within 48hrs.

I had one done last Monday and nothing I got another one done today @38 weeks hoping it works 🙏
